Acceptable use

What is not allowed here, stated plainly, and how to report it. This policy exists because the cost of vagueness falls on the person being harmed.

Under legal review before public launch. It describes the rules enforced today.

Prohibited activities

The following are strictly prohibited on Mizan Match, without exception: (1) human trafficking or sex trafficking of any kind; (2) illegal acts, including using the service to plan, facilitate, promote or commit any activity that is unlawful where you or the other person are located; (3) impersonation of any person or entity, or misrepresenting your identity, age, marital status or affiliation; (4) Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), including creating, possessing, requesting, sharing or linking to any sexual content involving a person under 18. Any substantiated breach results in immediate and permanent removal of the account, and is reported to the relevant authorities where the law requires or permits it.

Trafficking, exploitation and abuse

Human trafficking and sexual exploitation are prohibited absolutely, as is aiding, abetting or encouraging abuse of any kind. Using Mizan to recruit, transport, advertise or coerce a person for exploitation is prohibited, and so is helping someone else do it. There is no warning step for this. The account is removed and, where the law requires or permits it, reported to the relevant authorities.

Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

Mizan Match has zero tolerance for CSAM and for any sexualisation or exploitation of minors. Any such content or attempt is removed, the account is permanently banned, and the matter is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as required by law.

Minors

Mizan is for adults seeking marriage for themselves. Anyone under 18 is prohibited from using the service, and any attempt to use it to reach a minor is treated as the serious offence it is.

Illegal acts

Members must comply with all applicable laws. Using Mizan Match for fraud, money laundering, extortion, stalking, threats, the sale of illegal goods or services, or any other unlawful purpose is prohibited.

Coercion, harassment and pressure

Nobody may be pressured into an introduction, into continuing one, into meeting, or into sharing contact details before they have chosen to. Threats, intimidation, repeated unwanted contact, and pressure applied through a member's family are all prohibited. Disclosure between two members advances only when both agree, and attempting to get around that is a breach of this policy.

Pretending to be someone you are not

Impersonation, a false marital history, a photograph of another person, and a verified identity obtained with someone else's document are all prohibited. This is the breach the verification fee exists to make expensive.

Money

Soliciting money, gifts, investment or financial help from another member is prohibited, as is any commercial promotion. Romance fraud is the most common serious harm on services of this kind, and this rule has no exceptions for a persuasive story.

Automated access and enumeration

Do not attempt to enumerate members, script access to the service, bypass rate limits, or probe for data belonging to anyone but you. Access to another member's record is refused by the database itself, not merely hidden by the interface — but attempting it is a breach whether or not it succeeds.

How this is enforced

Reports are reviewed by a person. Depending on what is found, an account may be warned, suspended, or removed, and live introductions closed. For the offences in the first four sections there is no graduated response. We keep a record of substantiated reports for the period stated on the privacy page.

Reporting something

Write to the abuse address on the contact page. Tell us what happened and, if you can, when. You do not need to be certain, and you will not be penalised for a report made in good faith that turns out to be mistaken. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
